Hello You meets Balloon Adventures

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Milestone birthdays – Hello You meets Balloon Adventures

It was my sister-in-laws birthday recently and I thought it would be fun to use the Hello you thinlits (sadly retiring soon) to make a fun card. Now my lovely SIL Nikkie adores pink and when I say adores I should really say she absolutely loves pink. If it wasn’t for the boys in her life I’m sure her whole house would be pink! The brighter the better. So it was a no brainer when coming up with a colour scheme for her card!

So how did I make this?

I stamped all over a piece of whisper white card using the Balloon from the soon to leave us Balloon adventure stamps. These stamps are photo polymer so its really easy to see where you are stamping so you can easily create a good coverage of the paper.

I then die cut out the happy from the card and kept all the pieces safe. To create the raised effect I just cut another four sets of the words and then glued them all together.

Whilst the glue was drying I stuck the balloon stamped card to a piece of Melon Mambo card stock and mounted it on the card base.

Finally I stuck the word and the central bits like the middle of the ‘a’ onto the card and added a simple stamped sentiment. Voila!

Now I must point out that this card features one of our new in-color’s from the new Annual catalogue that I was privileged to see recently. I will bring you more details  over the weekend

The other thing that Nikkie loves is chocolate and so I slipped a few early Easter eggs into her present. I’m sure they won’t last too long!

Milestone birthdays – Seventy Five

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Milestone birthdays – Seventy Five

This weekend we celebrated my lovely Dad’s 75th birthday. I wanted to keep the front relatively simple and also use up the last bits of this gorgeous retiring designer series paper from the spring- summer catalogue – Urban Underground. It teams perfectly with the Happy Celebration stamp set, which happily for us is carrying forward into the new annual catalogue.

Inside I inserted a twisted pop up message, because lets be honest, you have to celebrate three quarters of a century with something special. Finally I made a tall bag to hold something liquid in his favourite shape. The gift bag punch board is one of those invaluable products that i come back to again and again

Easter fun boxes

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Easter fun boxes

As I mentioned yesterday today is my father’s birthday and we planned a lovely family lunch. However as it was also Easter I didn’t want to miss out on some gift opportunities and this week I was inspired by the link to a video on our weekly demo update. Press on the picture below to take to straight to the youtube video.

The Gift Box Punch Board is an ordinary-looking piece of plastic that gives you extraordinary results. You have to see it in action to see how easy and fun it is to make beautiful boxes! So this is what I made:

The boxes are so quick to make and once again used some of the retiring Regals Designer Series Paper Stack. Once you start you really can’t stop. It goes so well with these yummy pearlised chocolate eggs which I picked up at Marks & Spencer.

I managed to pick up some cute wooden tags which matched beautifully with the colour of the eggs and the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack

A little bit of white ribbon really finishes the project off and once they are lined up I think these little boxes look really professional yet fun.

Happy Easter Treats

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Happy Easter Treats

Today I’ve been busy in the crafty corner finishing off  a couple of projects in readiness for tomorrow. Not only is it Easter Sunday, but its my father’s 75th birthday so all the family are gathering for a big lunch. This time because my brother and his family are currently living over an hours drive away we thought we would meet halfway and split the travel. As there was no table to dress or host gifts to prepare I decided to make some Easter treat bark and create a little gift bag for each family member.  So I make a whole warren of bunnies based on a similar design that we used at a recent class.

Gift Bag Punch Board Its a great way to use up some of the last few sheets of the retiring Designer Series Paper Stacks. Once again the fabulous Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies are invaluable as the main elements making up the face and ears.

I used the retiring journalling pen to create the whisker dots on the face and create some teeth. The whiskers were made using the 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon which you can fray to release the threads to make the whiskers. Cute eh?

Finally a little gift I made for a friend. I’m so sad that the curvy keepsake is leaving us, but its purely to make room for some amazing new items in the catalogue which will be available for my customers from in early May.DSC_5575
