My Top 5 Christmas buys – 2017

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – My Top 5 Christmas buys – 2017

Today we have free postage so its a chance to add some ‘I can’t live without’ items to your cart.

These are my current favourites but as I love pretty much all the contents or both of the current catalogues I may well have changed my mind tomorrow!

1. Get those Christmas cards ready in a jiffy!

Holiday17_p32a

If you saw my post yesterday you would have seen this year’s stunning project kit which makes 20 cards and is just £18. The cards are great quality and come with sumptuous gold liners for the envelopes included in the pack. whats not to love?

2 Dec the halls!

I just love the fact that some many of the products in the seasonal catalogue have multiple uses, but the Tags and trimmings bundle is my top buy in this category.  With the ability to use this die to quickly make multitudes of multicoloured stockings. This is a true value for money investment piece that you will want to use over and over again. You can make advent calender’s, tree decorations, table favours……. The sky is the limit!

3. Wrap it up!

For me its the labels that form one of the biggest elements of a my gift wrapping planning and the very versatile Merry Little Labels which we used it at our recent retreat completely fits the bill.

Holiday17_p04a

Our attendees loved this set with its coordinating punch and apart from copious amounts of gift labels we have been using the stamps to make cards, wine bottle wraps, and the wrapping paper itself!

4.0 Gift giving

I love gift giving and if its totally handmade all the better. These Mini Pizza boxes fit the bill for flexibility and we have been using these  to gifts packs of mini cards,  gift cards, jewellery and home made fudge and peppermint creams.

Holiday17_p44a

I have a little stack of these pre decorated at the ready to grab for a last minute gift or I may use them as table favours on the run up to the big day!

5.0 Memory Keeping

Finally I have to say the Memories and More card pack is the perfect way to showcase all the fabulous Christmas memories that will accumulate on your phone over the festive season. Get those photos printed and preserve those memories forever. But if you cant wait,  this pack is also multi adaptable and makes great gift tags and  quick card fronts

Watercolour Christmas

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Onstage 2017 Spring Summer Catalogue 2018

So what do you do when its a bleak cold day and you find your self with an unexpected free afternoon?

Well for me there really only one option………

I lit the fire, made myself a latte and sat down to use this kit which has been calling out to me for the last few weeks.  Its the Watercolour Christmas Project Kit and I will be using it next week for a product class.

I think this is one of the best Xmas kits that Stampin’ Up! have released. I can see quite a few options to swap the layouts and sentiments if the matching stamp set is not your cup of tea. Personally I love it just as it is! However the best bit is you can make 20 cards for just £18.00. Yep you read it right its less than £1 per card……..

Craftylittleminx26-11-17.9

I loved the simplicity of the cards. Don’t you think the hints of gold from the mini sequins just finish this card off?

Craftylittleminx26-11-17.10

I added a little Wink of Stella to the stripes which took this card up another level

Craftylittleminx26-11-17.11

I have to say this layout was my favourite but it was a close call. Which is yours?

Craftylittleminx26-11-17.6

As you can see the fire is still burning and my coffee not long finished. Hardly surprising given it took me less than 60 minutes to make up the whole batch! Now I’m a hardy crafter and I was able to devote the whole hour to the project, but I can see this being a handy buy for anyone who wants to send handmade cards but doesn’t have much time

Even better news! We have free shipping from 11.00 pm tonight until 10.50pm Monday night. So if you order tonight you may well have this kit in your home by next weekend and your handmade card making plans are back on track!

I am grateful to all my customers for their loyal support so should you wish to place an order via my online shop please check out the following

10 undeniable reasons why Autumn is the best season.

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – 10 undeniable reasons why Autumn is the best season

The summer days are drifting away, the nights are drawing in, there’s a chill in the air and even the die hards have been seen wearing trousers and shoes instead of the usual shorts and flip flops combo. That’s right, it’s Autumn. But there’s no need to let the change of season get you down – here’s a list of reasons to love this time of year.

1. There is nothing more beautiful than watching the leaves in your garden turn from green to yellow, to orange and then if you are lucky deep red

2. It’s time to wrap up warm in scarves, hats, gloves and comfy knitted jumpers. AKA a  perfect excuse for a whole new autumnal wardrobe

3.  Soup, homemade stews and hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and cream. Enough said.

4. Halloween – a night when we get a free pass to carve lanterns out of vegetables, watch spooky films, dress up, eat loads of sweets and generally act like a child again.

5. It’s too cold for a night on the town, so it’s a good job there’s plenty for you to watch on the box. Autumn boasts the return of The Great British Bake off and Strictly Come Dancing

6. There’s just nothing quite so satisfying as jumping into a pile of really crisp, crunchy leaves. Again and again and again.

7. Bonfire Night. Fireworks, hot dogs, treacle toffee, & sparklers… what can beat it?

8. Taking cold, crisp morning walks. Refreshing and a great way to clear the cobwebs.

9. Darker evenings mean there’s more time to cosy up by the fireplace with your loved ones, pets, aforementioned mugs of hot chocolate and Paul Hollywood – on the telly, of course!

10. But really at the end of it all the best thing about saying goodbye to summer for me is the launch of our Autumn/Winter catalogue!

So you now have the perfect excuse to curl up on the sofa with a mug or glass of whatever you fancy and peruse the catalogue for all your homemade seasonal projects.

Christmas in July – Swing panel card

Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Christmas in July – Swing panel card

Happy first of the month to everyone.  Today’s card is final card from my recent class ad probably the most complicated. Having said that once you break the elements down its a really simple concept.

sucraftylittleminx.wordpress.com DSCN3872

On the front I cut out the window frame before embossing the rest of the piece with the brick wall TEF to create a log cabin effect. I then loosely fussy cut another piece to create the stack of logs under the window

sucraftylittleminx.wordpress.com DSCN3871

The window piece has the sponged scene attached to the back and when you open the card you start to see the effect.

sucraftylittleminx.wordpress.com DSCN3870

Inside I used more of the elements of the new Carols of Christmas bundle which ia available to buy from today. Yes that’s right TODAY!

sucraftylittleminx.wordpress.com DSCN3876

The bundle includes these really cute decorations and you can die cut the same shapes which I raised with the new mini dimensionals. No sticky snips anymore. My class attendees loved them.

sucraftylittleminx.wordpress.com DSCN3873

So did you spot the sweet little holly sprigs? They were so easy to make and once I started I just couldn’t stop stamping and die cutting. Bu then again its a Christmas card so can you really have too much holly?

Coming a whole month early from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue – the Carols Of Christmas. Purchase your stamp set now and receive a full set of instructions to make all of the cards featured from the class. And add the Card Front Builder Dies for more options with an additional 10% off the total price.

Did you earn a Bonus Days coupon?  For every 60 € / £45 you spent between 1 and 31 July (catalogue price before shipping and handling), you received a 6 € / £4.50 Bonus Days coupon that you can use between 1 and 31 August.

So hunt out those emails and use the coupon code when you place your August orders! Why not put yours towards the purchase of the Carols of Christmas stamp set or bundle?
